Biography
Neal Huang, MD is a fellowship-trained hip and knee replacement surgeon who specializes in minimally-invasive, personalized procedures with rapid recovery in mind. He utilizes the scar-minimizing “bikini” anterior hip replacement technique, and the personally tailored kinematic total knee technique for knee replacements. He also has a passion for helping patients dissatisfied with their previous knee and hip replacements.
Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Dr. Huang earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Houston Medical School before completing his residency at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga College of Medicine. In residency he was selected by his program to become the Administrative Chief Resident. He underwent further fellowship training with the globally renowned Atlanta Total Joint Specialists. Dr. Huang had the privilege of working alongside leaders in total joint replacement.
According to Huang, “Hip and knee pain from arthritis can be debilitating for patients, often robbing them of their quality of life. My goal is to get my patients back to walking and being active. Whether that is with non-operative treatments or appropriate surgical intervention, I want my patients moving without pain.”
Outside of work, Dr. Huang enjoy’s making Texas BBQ, SCUBA diving, and snowboarding in his spare time. You may also see him jogging with his wife Clare and dog Sadie around town.
