Certified Medical Assistant

Job Description

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Performs administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of physician. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments and maintaining medical records. Clinical duties may include taking and recording of vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, and medication preparation as directed by the physician.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Clinical and Imaging Director

SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIP: None

EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED required; Associates Degree in Applied Science preferred.

EXPERIENCE: At least two years of medical assisting experience in a physician’s office or hospital; training in Orthopaedic assisting preferred.

CERTIFICATE/LICENSE: CMA certification required.

Certified Medical Assistant

Job Description

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Provides radiologic films as directed by the physician, nurse, or other clinician; maintains radiology equipment and supplies; and assists physicians and clinical staff as needed.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Clinical and Diagnostic Imaging Director

SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIP: None

EDUCATION: High School diploma; Completion of accredited Radiologic Technology Program.

EXPERIENCE: At least one year’s experience taking and developing radiologic films; training in orthopaedics preferred.

CERTIFICATE/LICENSE: ARRT registration; DHEC/SCRQSA registration

Certified Athletic Trainer

Job Description

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Performs administrative and clinical duties under the direction of physician. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments and maintaining medical records. Clinical duties may include taking and recording of vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, casting/splinting/bracing, and medication preparation as directed by the physician.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Clinical and Imaging Director

SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIP: None

EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science in Athletic training required; Master of Science degree in athletic training preferred

EXPERIENCE: Prefer at least one year of athletic training experience in a physician’s office or hospital, but not required; training in Orthopaedic assisting preferred.

CERTIFICATE/LICENSE: BOC for athletic training required, South Carolina athletic training licensure recommended

MRI Technologist PRN

Job Description

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Provides and maintains MRI films as directed by the physician or other clinician; maintains MRI equipment and supplies; and assists physicians and clinical staff as needed.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Clinical and Diagnostic Imaging Director

SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIP: None

EDUCATION: High School diploma; Completion of accredited Radiologic Technology Program with MR registry or MR registered with a certified program.

EXPERIENCE: At least two years’ experience taking and developing radiologic films or completion of in-house MRI training program; training in orthopaedics and/or MRI preferred.

CERTIFICATE/LICENSE: ARRT registration; DHEC/SCRQSA registration
