Biography

Adam Schaaf, M.D., is an Orthopedic Surgeon committed to using the most advanced techniques and latest technologies to help patients stay active. In addition to offering fellowship training in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy, Dr. Schaaf offers special expertise in Shoulder Reconstruction, Knee and Shoulder Replacement, as well as Fracture Care.

Dr. Schaaf attended Miami University in Oxford Ohio and completed medical school at the Ohio State University College of Medicine and is a die-hard Buckeye fan. He completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Summa Health System in Akron Ohio and a fellowship in Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine at Orthopaedic Research of Virginia. Dr. Schaaf has been recognized as an Honor Roll Physician by Healthgrades.com as well as an On-Time Doctor, Compassionate Physician, and Patients Choice Winner by Vitals.com. Dr Schaaf has been a finalist for Best Orthopedic Surgeon in the Charleston Area according to the Post and Courier Charleston Choice Awards. He understands how important it is to stay active as the body ages, and he continues to enjoy running, hiking, and playing with his four children.
