CHRISTINA CHANDLER

Christina Chandler is a physician assistant specializing in pain management at Lowcountry Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine. She evaluates and treats a wide range of conditions, including chronic low back and neck pain, spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, radiculopathy, facet-mediated pain, and other musculoskeletal conditions affecting the spine.

Christina earned her undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina in 2006 and completed her Physician Assistant training at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2012.

She chose medicine because she wanted a career where she could make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. After several years in pain management, Christina especially enjoys the challenge of developing individualized treatment plans that improve her patients’ pain, function, and overall quality of life. She also values the relationships she builds with her patients and being part of their journey toward better health.

Christina believes that patient care is built on relationships—first and foremost, the relationship between patient and provider, grounded in mutual respect, honesty, education, and open conversation. She also emphasizes strong communication among all of a patient’s caregivers, so that every individual receives the best possible care.

Outside of work, Christina enjoys spending quality time with her family and making the most of her free time, whether that’s relaxing with a good TV show or a quiet day at home. She also loves trying new things and creating new experiences and memories.
