Biography
Carey is a board-certified Physician Assistant who works with Dr. Chris Battista, a fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon. He completed his undergraduate studies at NC State University in Raleigh, NC where he served on the sports medicine staff for the men’s basketball team. After graduating with his BS in Biology, he completed his Master’s in Physician Assistant studies at Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC. He moved to Charleston to join Dr. Battista and the spine team at Lowcountry Orthopedics. He brings 4+ years of general orthopedic experience working with sports medicine, total joint, and spine patients.
He enjoys golf, reading, kayaking, and spending time with his wife and dog.
