WILLIAM S. COREY, MD

Biography

Dr. Corey is a native of Charleston, West Virginia. Growing up he was active in sports including basketball, baseball, soccer, and track. His enthusiasm for sports is what initially attracted him to Orthopaedics.

Dr. Corey graduated from Wake Forest University with a degree in Biology. He went on to medical school and residency at West Virginia University. He completed a fellowship in Foot and Ankle surgery at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, MD. He is board-certified in Orthopaedics.

Dr. Corey treats patients of all ages ranging from young athletes with injuries to older adults with arthritis. He enjoys helping patients return to the activities they love most through non-operative and surgical means. His scope of practice includes arthroscopy, ankle replacement, foot and ankle fusions, fracture care, cartilage restoration techniques, ligament and tendon repair, bunion and hammertoe treatment, as well as flat foot treatment.

Dr. Corey lives in Charleston, SC with his wife and 2 boys. In his free time, he enjoys sports, boating, and fishing. He is a huge sports fan and loves having a career that allows him to return his patients to lead a healthy and active lifestyle.
