Biography

Julianna Brown is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who works with Dr. James Spearman, an Orthopedic surgeon fellowship-trained in Sports Medicine. Originally from Columbia, South Carolina, Julianna graduated from Clemson University in 2010, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Following graduation, she moved back to Columbia to begin working as a critical care nurse and eventually moved to Charleston in 2013, to work in the Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Unit at the Medical University of South Carolina. During her 4 years working in trauma, she also completed the Family Nurse Practitioner program at MUSC and graduated in 2017, with a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree. Julianna joined Team Spearman at Lowcountry Orthopaedics in 2017, and since that time has enjoyed providing high-quality care for patients so that they may experience improved quality of life and be as physically active as possible.

Outside of work, Julianna enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends,
as well as participating in various outdoor activities including hiking, kayaking, biking, and other adventures. She also thoroughly enjoys traveling, both in the US and internationally, and has a passion for short term medical mission trips that have taken her around the world to provide care for
underserved populations.
