Seeing Patients With Added Precautions

As the COVID-19 status evolves and changes, Lowcountry Orthopaedics will continue to make decisions that protect our patient and staff health and safety. We remain open and are seeing scheduled patients. All locations will screen scheduled patients in the entryway prior to appointments. The screening includes a temperature check and a questionnaire. In accordance with the CDC Guidelines to prevent the coronavirus spread, we are limiting entry to treatment areas to patients receiving direct care. For minors, one parent may accompany pediatric patients during exams.

We continue to see new acute injuries for adult and pediatric patients. Our MRI, pain management injections, and acute care are available for patients as needed. Heightened precautions following CDC, OSHA, DHEC, and national government regulations are in place to ensure patient safety.

Please follow us on Facebook or our website at for COVID-19 patient updates. We are available to answer any concerns or questions regarding your care at 843-797-5050. Please be patient as our call volume has increased. For patients that do not require a physical examination, you may request a follow-up phone call with your provider. More information on virtual options will be shared as the COVID-19 status develops.

Safe Return To Seeing Elective Orthopaedics

Lowcountry Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine will continue to be open for patients. Per Governor Henry McMaster’s recent lift of restrictions, we will begin to reschedule elective surgeries and non-essential patient visits. We appreciate your patience during this challenging COVID-19 time, and we look forward to safely helping you return to pain-free daily living.

In accordance with the social distancing guidelines, we will continue to limit patient appointments and restrict visitor entry. Patients requiring mobility assistance and pediatric patients may bring one adult into the treatment area.

  • Urgent Orthopaedic Care for call ahead and walk-in patients will continue to be available for acute injury at our North Charleston location.
